Authors

To be eligible, the papers submitted for consideration should report on original results not previously presented in any other archival publication, including but not limited to any IEEE Transactions.

Notwithstanding this requirement, papers previously presented and published in a Conference Record or Conference Proceedings of a conference sponsored by any of the sponsoring IEEE societies of TTE (PELS, IAS, PES, VTS, IES, and RS) will be considered (provided that the paper is significantly improved compared with the conference version of the paper), although it is not required for a paper to have been presented or published at a conference to make it eligible for consideration by TTE.

Instructions to submit a paper

Authors who want to participate to the ESARS-ITEC2023 Conference are invited to present one or more technical papers within the deadline 30 January 2023. (In addition to the main topics, papers on other important subjects will be considered for the inclusion in the Scientific Programme).
Papers can be submitted for one Special Sessions, among all the defined ones.

Authors who want to submit a provisional full paper to be reviewed for the inclusion in ESARS-ITEC2023 scientific programme can register and submit on EDAS.info at https://edas.info/chair.php?c=30292 (please choose the correct track for your paper)


Provisional full paper
The provisional full paper has to be considered as a full paper in all regards. The one substantial difference between the provisional full paper and the final full paper is related to the corrections that the authors have to implement on the former, based on the reviewers comments. Each submitted paper will be forwarded to 2 reviewers, with proven experience in the topic of interest. The file format can be either .doc, .docx or .pdf in A4 page size. The minimum length is 4 pages. It is required to use the standard IEEE template available on ESARS-ITEC2023 website here.

Final full paper
The final full paper has to comply with the IEEE template available and has to be uploaded in IEEE Xplore compatible pdf.
When preparing the final paper please strictly follow the conference template and all formatting details. Please convert your paper using pdf-express only!

– Proofread your source document thoroughly to confirm that it will require no revision.
– Create your PDF eXpress Account
– Log in to the IEEE PDF eXpress site
– First-time users should do the following:

  1. Select the New Users – Click Here link.
  2. Enter the following:
    • 57127X for the Conference ID
    • your email address
    • a password.
  3. Continue to enter information as prompted.

An Online confirmation will be displayed and an email confirmation will be sent verifying your account setup. Previous users of PDF eXpress need to follow the above steps but should enter the same password that was used for previous conferences. Verify that your contact information is valid.
The copyright notice must appear in the bottom margin of the FIRST page (as shown in the template) of your paper (Times font, 8 p.)

  • For papers in which all authors are employed by the US government, the copyright notice is:

You should also submit the copyright to IEEE by using the specific function in the EDAS system. After submission to IEEE you will receive a confirmation file (PLEASE download it directly from IEEE site).
Only one copyright submission for one paper is necessary. Please be very careful when submitting data to IEEE.

Finally the maximum recommended length is 6 pages.


Technical oral sessions

  • All authors are expected to prepare a 15 minutes presentation. Additional 5 minutes are reserved to Q&A. Please plan your presentation accordingly.
  • Session Chair will introduce each speaker, by using the biography submitted via EDAS platform. An updated version of author’s biography can be provided to Session Chair before the Session start.
  • The official language is English.
  • Admissible presentation formats are PDF and Power-Point (.pdf and .ptt .pttx):
    no standard template for presentation has to be complied. The logo of ESARS-ITEC2023 Conference can be requested to esars-itec2023@thetriumph.com
  • The Conference Organization will provide a projector, laptop and microphones (if necessary) in each conference room. You can bring your presentation file on a memory stick (USB) and upload it on the Author’s presentation point, at the registration desk.


Poster and dialogue sessions

  • All authors are expected to prepare and print a poster, to be presented during the scheduled poster session (1h duration).
  • The size of the poster wall is 2 meters (high) x 1 meter (width).
    No standard template for poster has to be complied.
    The logo of ESARS-ITEC2023 Conference can be requested to esars-itec2023@thetriumph.com
  • The Conference Organization will provide all the necessary mounting materials.
  • At the registration desk, a poster wall number and the time schedule for placing and removing poster will be given to each poster presenter.
  • For each poster session, one or more session chairs will interact with speakers and attendees, in order to stimulate discussion and interaction.
